Voltaire Verzosa, countertenor/pianist, received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance degree from the University of Montana and his Master of Music in Voice Performance degree from the University of Colorado. He pursued further studies in piano at the Eastman School of Music. Specializing in 17th and 18th century vocal music, Voltaire has performed at the International Bamboo Organ Festival, the Las Vegas International New Music Festival, Internationaal Vocalisten Concours, the Bach Aria Festival, the Vancouver Early Music Festival Baroque Programme, Amherst Early Music Festival and Accademia d’Amore. He has won top prizes at the District Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions and at the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition. He has been a guest countertenor soloist with the Colorado Springs Symphony, the Chiara String Quartet, the Montana Baroque Ensemble, the Philippine Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Baroque Players, the Boulder Philharmonic, the Desert Spring Arts Chamber Orchestra, the CCSN professional orchestra, and the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society Orchestra, with which he also has performed several times as solo pianist in several piano concertos. Also in demand as a collaborative pianist, Voltaire coaches classical vocal repertoire and has served as musical director/conductor for several local productions in musical theatre and opera. He is presently a vocal coach for the operatic group, Ensemble Vocalis in San Francisco and is the pianist and countertenor for several classical duos throughout the Western Region. He also continues to sing recitals and conduct vocal master classes at several universities throughout the nation. Voltaire teaches voice and piano privately at his home as well as at CCSN and at Nevada School of the Arts. An all-around musician, his extensive piano and voice background has enabled him to maintain a dual career as solo pianist and singer. He is the pianist for the Desert Spring United Methodist Church in Summerlin.
Elizabeth Krupka grew up in Las Vegas and began playing the viola in the Clark County School District at age 11. She graduated from an area high school and went on to study music education at Loyola University in New Orleans. Elizabeth played in chamber ensembles in college and had the opportunity to participate in a master class with the American String Quartet. She has played with the Las Vegas Philharmonic since 1998 and is currently inspiring the next generation of musicians by teaching orchestra to children in middle school.
lindsey Lindsey Springer, a native of Indiana, received a Bachelors degree in music education from Butler University and a Masters degree in cello performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Her teachers include Daniel Morganstern, William Grubb, and Yehuda Hanani. She has performed in masterclasses for many great cellists including Rafael Wallfisch, Janos Starker, Wolfgang Boetcher, and Darret Adkins. Lindsey made her debut solo performance with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and has traveled to Mexico and Italy as principal cellist with the New Millenium Philharmonic and The Lucca Opera Festival Orchestra. Lindsey recently moved to Las Vegas and has earned the position of substitute cellist for The Phantom of the Opera and The Producers. She has also played with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the electronic string quartet, Phat Strad. In addition to performing, she is an active private teacher and is the current orchestra director at K.O. Knudson Middle School and will begin teaching at the Community College of Southern Nevada this summer.
